The Callaway FT-i driver was built exclusively with fusion technology, to produce a driver, designed to be the world straightest. Love it or hate it, this driver has a rectangular head like the Nike Sumo2 and the Nickent 3DX Platz.Aber which is not exactly square head looks — but it serves a particular function.
The square weight 460 cc clubhead, uses carbon body technology outside of the normal zone compared to other drivers, means it is lighter than a traditional titanium driver. The weight saved enabled Callaway to use the driver's weight on the extreme corners of the head, increasing the club's resistance to twisting off center and therefore created increase extreme forgiveness on recordings everywhere on the face.
